We don’t blame Obama for the spill itself, but for his lack of response to it. then his posturing trying to convince us that he on top of the problem, you would almost think he slapped on a diving helmet and dove down to fix it himself when he has done very little to help.
Katrina was blamed on Bush (the response) when in reality it was not only the responsibility of the state to take care of it but was legally unavailable for Bush to respond to without a direct request from LA. Posse Comitatus prevents a president from using Federal forces to take over a state issue to include the use of federal law enforcement officers and military.
Since the oil rig was more than 3 miles off shore it falls directly under the federal jurisdiction leaving the ball in Obama’s court which he failed to respond to in time he left it up to BP & LA see the difference!
